About Artist Aileen Malone
  1. Living in Dublin. Studied in Dun Laoghaire College of Art in 1979. More recently studied in National College of Art and Design, Dublin.
  2. Some of these pieces are on display in Leadlines Gallery, Dunadry, Co Antrim.
  3. The wallpaper patterns and the photos of girls and women in white dresses are visual representations of family and society.
  4. Inspired by the patterns used as decoration within my grandmothers home I used etching and printing, photo transfers, photocopying, drawing with crayon and ink and different papers to produce a series of mixed media pieces. The patterns throughout represent old patterns that are laid down and both altered and reinforced by time.
