Ann Mc Cormick is irish and has been living in Berlin for a few years. Ann's work is influenced by the paintings of the Abstract Expressionists and she greatly admires the work of Diebenkorn and Motherwell. Her great love is for the north coast landscapes of the west of Ireland and Scotland. It is here, in the timeless atmosphere of the island landscapes such as that of North Uist, that the real inspiration for her paintings lies.

It is from this world of ageless forms and colours, in contrast to the hectic daily life of Berlin's streets, that Ann derives her force and energy of artistic expression.

Education: M.A. in Fine Art from the University of Ulster and National Diploma in Fine Art from the Crawford College of art Cork.

Exhibitions: I have exhibited in group and solo shows in Ireland, Scotland, Germany and America. I will be exhibiting in Brno Czech republic, in Berlin Germany and Cork City this year.
