About Artist April Jarocka

Originally from the UK and have lived in Ireland since the late 90s.
Most of my paintings feature the beautiful stones that line the shores here in Kilrush, County Clare. They make a great subject because I love painting in great detail. I work in both oil & acrylic.
I am completely self taught in painting and have been successfully exhibiting and selling my work here in County Clare since 2007. I had my first solo exhibition in 2010 and my painting 'Moulded by Time' featured in Artists & Illustrators magazine in May 2010.
I also enjoy illustrating children's stories and have worked on a dummy book for author Niall Williams' wife Christine Breen.
