Changes Still Going On

We've put two new options into the presentation pages or gallery sections
of the New Irish Art website over this last month. One of these will help
us to complete plans for the next version of the site while the second is
called share, an invaluable help for artists wishing to pro-actively promote their work.
A timely piece of advice and a reminder of the number of scams out there
is also included in this bulletin.
Work to get galleries into an ordered archive is proving complex but proceeding.
The Survey

A link to the survey is at the bottom of each gallery page. The purpose os
this survey is to get some feedback from all artists and visitors to the
site before making the next change to the site. Most of the questions in
this survey appeared in a survey we completed back in 2004. A couple of
extra questions about the sale and purchase of artwork on the internet have
been added.
You can make your opinion count by filling in our short survey
here.
Share Option - A Great Artist Promotion Tool

Every Artist gallery on the New Irish Art site now has a share option. This
can be seen at the top right-hand corner of the page. This option is activated
by moving the cursor over the image, it allows you to post the page address to
a wide range of social networking sites, to bookmark or to send the page link
to someone else.
By using this option, you will be promoting your presence on the site and drawing
more attention to your work. We strongly advise that you get on there soon and start
telling the rest of the World about your New Irish Art gallery.
Scams and Chancers

We are reminding all artists on the New Irish Art website to be extremely careful
when dealing with people via the Internet. In the last week we have received requests
to provide artwork that would be paid for using banker's drafts and/or cashier's
checks(sp). We have also received a number of requests from gallery owners wishing to
show works, we cannot emphasise enough that you must exercise caution every time
you deal with someone you have not met.
New Irish Art cannot vouch for any contacts made through the site, please think
twice and then again before handing your work over to anyone.
Yours,
Tom
