About Artist Deborah J Stockdale
  1. A life spent working with Textiles and an interest in science has led me to a fascination with organic forms of all descriptions. From incredibly small images of microscopic plants, animals, minerals, alcohols (the Microcosmos and Micro-alcohol series) to larger geographic, organic, abstract forms.
  2. I create with many techniques on fabric and fibres, and with paints on fabrics, canvas and board. I also recently revived a long interest in paper Collage, and have made a series of limited edition photo prints of my work. I am involved in several community art projects, facilitating others to find their creativity and tell their stories through textiles. I am a member of the Irish Crafts Council.
