About Artist Dubhaltach O'Colmain
  1. My name is Dubhaltach O Colmain born in 1983. I lived on An Blascaod Mor for ten years then moved to west cork and am currently living in Cork city.
  2. I wish to portray images, relics of the past in the future, I want to explore the loss of truth our loss of respect for the physical and metaphysical world and I wonder what beauty will we leave for our descendants to revere.
  3. The design developed in the past over thousands of years is unused and absent apart from carefully preserved artifacts and historical sites. why have reverence in it if its is not used or developed more? are we ashamed or do we not feel worthy? what is imagination and how can we access it to find a way to enhance our lives immeasurably? to walk again as children and find joy in life and our surroundings. not to think of the environment as something apart from us, as an ever present but ignored concept, but as a part of us and everything that we perceive as existence.
