About Artist Emer Lynch
  1. Emer Lynch's artistic practice is nourished by her ability to absorb her environment. Each piece is developed from the intensive and intuitive photographic and literary documentation she gathers from chosen spaces. Her work explores her intuitive reactions to these spaces.
  2. Lynch's glass and digital media pieces unashamedly parade how she has identified correlations between herself and the physical habitats she has experienced.
  3. In 2009, Emer Lynch graduated with BDes (Honours) in Glass and the History of Art and Design from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. Emer was awarded a Leonardo Programme Placement also in 2009 at Derix Glas Studios, Taunusstein, Germany. Lynch's exhibitions include the How is this glass? Post-Glass Video Festival at the Heller Gallery, NY (2010) and Engaging with Glass at Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, Ireland and Travers Gallery, Tacoma, USA (2011/ 2012).
