Born in Waterford 1950 and moved to Dublin where she has lived and worked since. Gabrielle started her art career creating textile pieces which she exhibited regularly at The Patchwork Society Annual Exhibitions. At that point she created figurative and abstract pictures but her main interest was in using fabric to create geometric patterns
