Biography
Kim Barry is a contemporary Irish artist living in Co Down NI. She
has lived by the sea all her life and this is a major influence on
her paintings.
She works on both large scale abstract landscapes and smaller layered
pieces. She works in oils acrylics watercolour and mixed media.
Kim uses her photography and research into the history of the Irish
coast and landscape as a basis. Her work is a narrative and can yield
many pieces in a series of works.
Her current work is based on finding pieces of sandwashed pottery on
a local beach and tracing its origins.
