Biography

Born in Limerick City, Ireland 1973. I moved to Cyprus in 1999 to complete a post graduate degree and it has remained my home since. I have participated in many exhibitions in Cyprus, Ireland, Mexico, and New York.

My recent work is concerned with the city at night alternating from a nocturnal panorama to a closer private street view. Using the ill described urban spaces defined only by street, house and traffic lights (often the only activity is the passing airplanes) I work on a series of smaller scale panels simultaneously that combine and build to a unit. I use wood for its resilience as a support. I try to focus on the physical act of painting exploring its natural process; the gestural mark takes center stage. In the end I want to make paintings about how things feel.
