About Artist Stephen Jamison
  1. I am a self taught Belfast based artist who specialises in portraiture. I work exclusively in oils.
  2. I am the 3rd generation of the Jamison family to claim to be an artist but the first to try to make a living by it. There is one problem though - the painting is more important to me than the money and I genuinely believe that art should be affordable to all - so my prices are as low as possible and will never make me rich!
  3. My series of paintings of African subjects remains the core of my work and I exhibit them throughout the year in the greater Belfast area. In 2012 I have been invited to exhibit in a show in California, something I am particularly excited about.
  4. I hope you enjoy what you see.
