Biography

Seamus Keane works and lives in Galway, Ireland. He has a Cert in Graphic Design and both a Diploma and Degree in Fine Art from Sligo IT. He works as part of the Engage studios in middle street in Galway city.

Seamus strives to create works which at first seem to be "wishy washy" subject matter of colourful pattern and designs, it is only with a more careful examination that a deeper meaning can be interpreted. The viewer must interpret not only the visual work but aso the title of the work and how the title of the peice reacts and interacts with the visual. Each viewer derives something different from each peice, there is no right or wrong interpretation. Symbols and colours effcting emotions. A thought upon a thought.

Seamus works mostly in Oil on Canvas but has been known to incorporate Print, Sound and Video into his work as he deems necessary.
