About Artist Douglas Keeley
  1. I studied Art in secondary school for three years. Fate brought me on a different path, leaving Art behind to pursue another career. But I would always find myself looking at and being inspired by Art and my passion for it never left me. It just took some inspiration and a little patience to get me fully hooked on Art once again after nearly ten years apart.
  2. My inspiration came from my partner Jeannette, who I painted a picture of Betty Boop for in August 2004, just after we met. I fell in love with Art and painting once again. It came as a surprise to me, and the response from family and friends was overwhelming. So, I dabbled in painting once more and the responses were still great. I got even more hooked, and paintings were just flying onto canvasses. With more confidence came more elaborate paintings (but I'll let you be the judge of that yourself).
