About Artist Deirdre Keohane
  1. Deirdre Keohane was born in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada of Irish born parents. She studied art in Crawford College of Art, Cork Ireland and graduated from David Thompson College of Art Nelson, B.C. Canada.
  2. In 2006 she graduated with an honors H.Dip in Art Ed, Limerick College of Art. She has exhibited in Vancouver, Montreal and Ireland. Her works have been published in many magazines, newspapers and for bookcovers. She worked for many years as an illustrator for Mc'Gill University, Mtl. Que.
  3. Deirdre is also known for her giant murals from Donegal to Minsk. Now she works in oils on canvas from her studio in Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
  4. The group of paintings portraying the history of West Cork, can be seen in the Barryroe Co-op 2010 calendar. The calendar can be found in Barryroe, Co. Cork just down the road from Clonakilty, Co. Cork.
