Biography

An Irish-American painter of Ireland living in the United States outside of Philadelphia. My grandparents came from Derry and Donegal.

A Fine Arts graduate of the University of Notre Dame, for years I was a Creative Director in Advertising and then at Hallmark Cards. I also founded and contribute to a website (www.newsart.com) that delivers editorial art to newspaper op-ed pages all over the world.

After a magical first trip to Ireland in 1998, I began painting for the first time since college, and painting quickly took over my life. My style is still developing and I truly never know what is coming next. I paint whatever catches my imagination, from Irish musicians to horse fairs, to abandoned pubs, to the mystical 'Irish Quilt' paintings. I also recently finished the eleventh in a series of large paintings of legendary Irish Writers, from Joyce to Keane to Synge to O'Casey.

My paintings and signed prints hang in Irish and American galleries and in homes and Irish pubs all around the world.
