About Barbara MacAskill
  1. Art student at Midmills College, Inverness. Currently working on a project of Botanical Illustration. Mediums used include oil, acrylic, watercolour, pencil, digital photography, coffee, grout, pva glue, olive oil. Specialising in seascapes, botanical art, nature, portraits of Homeless and Elderly.
  2. Influences are Pre-Raphaelites, Mervyn Peake, Durer, Georgia O'Keefe, Elizabeth Blackwell, Art Noveau, Victorian & Edwardian Illustrators. Kandinsky, Juan Miro.
  3. Preferred Location Drawing/Painting - Kintail, Wester Ross. Isle of Skye.
  4. Ba Hons [Major History/Minor Philosophy] - University of Ulster at Coleraine.
