Biography
Nealie O'Sullivan was born in Coomeen, Allihies. He
was an inshore fisherman most of his life, and throughout
his career saw the beauty and power of the sea by its
ever changing quality of light. The empowering storms,
the cliff facing and the stillness of the offshore
rocks; the haunting beauty of mountains and the sunsets
are just some of these enchanting qualities.
He sensed that a new direction for him was needed and started painting in order to capture and expose these precious moments on canvas, expressing a way of life that is sadly disappearing.
