Biography
I am a self taught artist living in Co.Westmeath. From as far
back as I can remember I loved to draw and paint and spent
hours as a child, lost in myself, with my little black board
and box of chalks, sitting out in the garden drawing butterflies
and matchstick men.
Today I still loose myself when I paint.....the medium I use has
changed, but the feeling of complete tranquility remains the same.
I am influenced by people, places and stories that touch my life
and leave a mark on my soul. I paint using acrylic and oils and I
prefer using a pallet knife to a brush.
I love to take a feeling, an emotion, or a story someone shared
and work with it on canvas to capture it in colour.
Texture is hugely important to me and I love to to close my eyes
and run my fingers over the piece when it's dry and enjoy how the
painting feels.
