About Artist Gerard Lane
  1. Gerard lane was reared in the West of Ireland and from an early age was marked by the unique natural and man made landscape of South Galway and North Clare. The inspiration for much of this artwork is derived from these experiences.
  2. His paintings reflect his love of the simple architectural forms that were once common features in Ireland. They seek to highlight a beauty that is being destroyed and which once gone cannot be easily replaced. His favoured medium is acrylic.
  3. Gerard is a graduate of GMIT and The Crawford College of Art, Cork. He has exhibited in Ireland and abroad. He works from his studio in Craughwell, Co. Galway.
