About Artist Gillian Smyth

Gillian Smyth lives in Bandon, Co. Cork, near to Kinsale with its beautiful coastline. With her family she spends many hours boating which gives much inspiration for her paintings. Her eye is always drawn to colours and texture around her and the wonder of nature. She works from her own studio at home with lovely views of the fields and countryside around.
Over the years Gillian has worked with watercolour, acrylic, ink and oils. She has done many different courses and in the recent past completed a 2 year FETAC course in drawing and painting at Kinsale College of Further Education passing with distinction.
