About Artist James Guinevan Seymour
  1. I am an Irish artist who originally comes from Cork who currently resides in South Korea in a city called Suwon. I work mostly in oils, pen and ink but have alot of experience in printmaking but also have recently been dabbling in Korean brushpainting. I use mostly muted tones and am not very proficient or interested in working with bright colors so therefore it might lend my work a moody tone.
  2. I graduated from the Limerick school of art and design in 2003 where I studied fine art printmaking for 4 years. In 2003 after I finished I joined Limerick printmakers where I exhibited work in their summer and winter exhibits and was selected for the 'unframed' exhibition which was selected by Mike Fox sculpture department head of Limerick School of art and design.
  3. In 2006 I began travelling and spent some time in Fiji, America, Singapore whilst also living and working in Nz and OZ as well 3 months teaching english in Thailand. In January 2007 I arrived in South Korea and have been working and living here since then. Most recently I had an exhibit in New York city at the APW gallery.
