About Artist Kate Hennessy
  1. Born Limerick and studied at Limerick School of Art where she was awarded A.T.C. Taught art in Dublin, Kilkenny and Limerick while painting and exhibiting throughout. Has exhibited nationally and internationally, including the R.H.A., The Oireachtas, Claremorris, and numerous other group shows in Temple Bar, Cork Arts Society, Butler Gallery Kilkenny.
  2. Has also held 23 solo shows in Belltable Limerick, Davis Gallery Dublin, Lavitts Quay Cork, Kilkenny, Foynes, The Source Thurles. Kate has also shown in the Air Gallery London, as well as Copenhagen and Koblenz.
  3. Her work is in many collections, including, Limerick City Gallery, U.L., and Shannon Development. She founded the Doras Art Studio for refugees and asylum seekers, and painted with them for many years and organized 6 shows of their paintings in Ireland.
