About Artist Kristina McCabe
  1. I grew up in Bielefeld, Germany where I studied Visual Communication, Fine Art and Illustration at the Design College, FH Bielefeld. I graduated with a series of oil-paintings on the subject of the creation of the world and with a diploma in Graphic Design.
  2. The turn towards fine art happened in my last year of college, when I met the Macedonian artist Dane Kapevski who took me under his wings in his studio in Germany and taught me in oil-painting and mosaic. From then on painting was my life.
  3. In 2002 I visited the east coast of Ireland - and stayed.
  4. Not only the love for my Irish husband but also the beauty of this country, it's people and customs inspired me so much that I decided to settle down here. I am living and working here since in our little country cottage which is located in coastal county Louth - one mile up the beach but in 'The Middle of Nowhere'.
