About Artist Larisa K Bevillard
  1. Larisa K. Bevillard is an Ennis based visual artist who has been drawing and painting since childhood and achieved a degree in Design and Marketing from the Art Institute of Boston and then went on to achieve a BA in Fine Arts from Lesley University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Larisa continued with her education in Ireland and received a Diploma in Legal Studies from Griffith College in 2006.
  2. In 2009 Larisa founded Arts in Ennis, an art school in Ennis, County Clare. The school's primary aim is to teach appreciation of Fine Art and to make art instruction accessible to the local community and in particular to the children/youth of Ennis.
  3. 'Students are encouraged to master traditional techniques whilst learning the fundamentals of drawing, design, sculpture and colour theory. Use of and gaining knowledge of the various forms of media, Arts In Ennis seeks to encompass all aspects of art. Demonstrations are offered regularly, proper use of materials are carefully explained and a Renaissance inspired approach to Fine Art is promoted. The works of the Master Artists are often explored as we seek to further understand their methods, influences and genres.' Larisa K. Bevillard 2011.
  4. In 2011 two Arts in Ennis Students (aged 10 and 12) won first place awards in County Clare in national art competitions with one student subsequently coming in second all Ireland.
  5. This year to date a further to students aged 7 and 12 have won medals in the Community Games Art Competition in County Clare and are going on to compete at national level.
  6. Larisa is a member of the Embrace, Arts and Disabilities Programme and resides in Ennis with her three sons.
