Micheál is a Dublin artist, and in the mid sixties he went to London and studied art for some years and also for a short time in Paris. He takes a lot of his inspiration from the West of Ireland where his wife Ann is from.

I have one or two of his paintings myself and I can see the landscapes of the west and the south west in his work.
