About Artist Nick Fegan
  1. I started to paint in both oils and watercolour about ten years ago. Only until recently (two/three years ago) did I work more frequently.I believe I've finally found my style. My work is colour based - meaning, I love 'strong' colours. Colour is everything to my work.
  2. Sketches and watercolour form the basis to the begining of any painting I begin. I try to sketch most days, where/when I can as it keeps me from 'rusting'. Photos are only as a reference point. My subjects are mostly landscapes and seascapes. I have done horse racing subjects also. (Only recently have I completed a large canvas featuring: 'Sea the Stars' and Mick Kinane: the famous Irish flat race horse)
  3. I am based in Co. Dublin.
