About Artist Paddy D'Arcy
  1. Paddy D'Arcy is a Galway born artist currently finishing a B.F.A in Fine Art Painting at LSAD Limerick.
  2. He has a background in street art and currently uses oils, acrylics and aerosols to create his canvases. He finds his inspiration in his surroundings, popular culture, and film, among other things.
  3. His work is figurative and is often surreal and psychedelic. He has exhibited in various locations around the country.
  4. Dean Kelly from Kennys Gallery Galway says 'In Paddy D'Arcy we see a young, though confident hand. He demonstrates an already developed sensibility and personal stamp. His disquieting and arresting images, which speak to their times, are not without humour. They are particularly strong in that while they are ostensibly surreal and based on science fiction they are rooted in actuality - to places we know and can readily identify with.'
