About Artist Patricia O'Kane

Patricia O'Kane lives in Co Louth and works exclusively in pastels. Having spent time studying dress design, she then moved into the beauty business and worked for several years as a beauty therapist. Over this period she developed her love of vibrant colours and textures which she now translates into her paintings. While specialising in flowers, with poppies in particular having become her trademark, she also paints seaside and rustic scenes.
She has had two solo exhibitions in Co Louth in addition to exhibiting her work in Dublin's St Stephen's Green, Malahide and Kilkenny and is a full member of the Irish Pastel Society
