About Artist Sally Cush
  1. I originally trained in Ceramics, as an apprentice and also with The Craft Council of Ireland in Kilkenny. Drawing designs on pots led naturally to painting on canvas for me. I am self taught.
  2. I am from Cork and live in West Cork and I take my inspiration from my surroundings. I mainly paint in oils but also have explored watercolours, batik, acrylic and now more recently mixed media.
  3. So far I have had two solo exhibitions and a number of group exhibitions.

  1. You will not find artwork by Jack B. Yeats, Frederic Wiliam Burton, Johannes Vermeer, Harry Clarke, Sir John Lavery, William John Leech, Paul Henry, Louis Le Brocquy, Sean Scully or even Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio on this website.
  2. The New Irish Art Project supports Irish artists by providing all the tools needed to present and to promote their artwork online. Our service has been free for more than 12 years now. In that time we have earned the support of a great number of artists and built an online audience of many thousands of art lovers, from all over the World.
  3. Ireland's favourite painting might still be undiscovered, we salute the 10 shortlisted artists and invite our visitors to search out the next Irish Masterpiece right here, on New Irish Art.
