About Artist Sean Cronin

Sean Cronin is a part time artist living in Cork and is largely self-taught.
Although Sean has been drawing and painting for as long as he can remember, in recent years he has focused more on his art.
His works have been exhibited at a number of solo and group exhibitions and he continues to accept commissions. While specialising in portraiture in the medium of pastel, his subject matters are many and he also works with graphite, charcoal, watercolour and oils.
While acknowledging the importance of 'likeness' in portraiture, his work also reflects the character of the subject by means of form, emphasis, colour and layout.
