About Artist Sharon McCarthy

Sharon McCarthy self thought artist. Paints from her studio in Ovens , Co. Cork(dairyfarm). Inspired by my home surroundings but also hugely inspired by Caherdaniel, Co. Kerry, our family holiday spot. Colour is my big incentive from time of subject choice to finishing a picture and also to create a loose painting to be enjoyed. I most paint with palette knife to create movement and energy in my paintings. I enjoy painting all subjects, still life, landscapes, seascapes in an impressionistic style with plenty of colour.
