About Artist Sheelagh Cross
  1. Sheelagh was born in North London but now lives in South Kilkenny from where her family originates. She is mainly self-taught but continued her creative education in Cambridge and Hertfordshire where she attained distinction in fine art and design.
  2. Her work is inspired by the local surroundings and is executed in tones of black and white. By removing colour she hopes to reveal the essence of her subject.
  3. This accomplished artist works in her studio in Kiltrassy, Windgap, Kilkenny.
  4. Her work has been exhibited widely and has sold both at home and abroad.
