About Artist Tony Clarke

Tony Clarke , I live and work in Bray Co. Wicklow. Currently studying for a b.a. in fine art , having completed f.e.t.a.c. and b.t.e.c higher national diploma from 2006 to 2009 .
I have been involved in art for a long time, my practice covers all the processes of art including, painting, drawing, print, ceramic, sculpture and new media. I am a mixed media artist, multidisciplinary .
I enjoy the concept of 'working with images that come and visit when I least expect, sometimes they surprise, sometimes they inspire and sometimes they put me in my place'.
Over the years I have enjoyed working with other artists and have made some good friends along the way , my hero's in art are many, but myself and 'my mate vincent' ( van gogh ) go back along way .
I am currently looking at Frida Kahlo, Kathe Kollwitz and Jeff Koons among others.
