About Artist Vincent Killowry

Award winning Irish artist, Vincent Killowry, has dedicated his life to his passion for painting. Vincent's careful attention to detail is also evident in the numerous miniature paintings and illustrations he has produced in the form of Irish postage stamp designs. Philatelists worldwide honoured Vincent's work in 2005 when his Waterford Tall Ships stamp series were awarded Irish Stamp Design of the Year.
Again, in 2008, Vincent's stamp design commemorating the First Transatlantic Message by Cable was awarded third place in the same competition. His most recent exhibition was held in Galway during the Volvo Ocean Race and it explored man's relationship with the sea. An Post also launched two of Vincent's postage stamp designs to commemorate the event.
Killowry's paintings hang in many private and corporate collections as far afield as Japan, USA, India and Russia, along with numerous collections closer to home in Spain, France, UK and Ireland.
Vincent lives with his wife and four children near Ennis in County Clare.
