Bob Scott Art (Download The Catalogue)

Bob Scott is a retired teacher living in Ballyduff, North Kerry. Much of his work is drawn from the physical and social environment in which he lives, but there is a surreal side to his interests as well. His finished work is almost entirely in oils, but he employs a wide-variety of other media in preparation, particularly pencil-drawing and also makes three-dimensional constructions in painted wood and stones. For a long time he painted entirely in situ, but now includes the use of photographs for reference.

Bob runs a daily blog, with a new painting and comment everyday (www.bobscottnorthkerry.com) and is a member of the North Kerry artists' group Colourful Spirits. Other interests include spirituality, science, music, and cycling. He plays Irish traditional music on the flute and piano, and runs an Active Retirement Group with his wife May. He exhibits permanently in Ballyduff Family Resource Centre and his home studio nearby, and in the group exhibitions around North Kerry.
