Ciaran Taylor Art (Download The Catalogue)

I am from Dublin and live in Dun Laoghaire. I went to Art College at NCAD in Dublin and graduated in 1985. I sold work from my diploma and degree shows, and got into EVA '85 and the Independent Artists Exhibition of 1985. A few years after that I did a PhD in Mathematics and became a Mathematics Lecturer, which meant no artistic activity for over ten years. Then I rediscovered my love of life drawing. Lately I've been attending weekly life drawing sessions at the RHA. Most of my work concerns the nude, but sometimes I do still life and I keep saying I'm going to get to grips with landscape. I've been exhibiting again: I had pieces in the RUA Annual Exhibitions in 2011 and 2013 and I'm hoping to get into a few more exhibitions in 2014 or even have my own exhibition!

Figurative, life drawing, nude
