John Nasky Art (Download The Catalogue)

John Nasky born and raised in Pittsburgh PA, USA. His grandmother imigrated to the U.S. from Listowel County Kerry and was a Stack before marrying her husband who was Russian, and thus the name Nasky. His Mother's father and mother imigrated to the U.S. from County Meath, and their name was Kitrick.

John studied art at The Art Institute in Pittsburgh, and went on to become a commercial artist for 35 years. Celtic art was a hobby at that time, and his love of the art came from studying Jim Fitzpatrick, Courtney Davis, and the Book of Kells, a copy of which he received as a Christmas gift. His original art was first noticed by an Irish Dance Teacher, Ann Richens who commisioned him to do her logo and school dance costume. From there he went on to become a well known designer of traditional Irish Dance Costumes and Logos. He now devotes all of his time to original art pieces that are done by hand with no help from the computer.
