Born in Dublin Louise studied Fine Art in I.A.D.T Dun Laoghaire. She began exhibiting in the late 1990s. She appeared on R.T.E. Open House in collaboration with Irish Arts Review Emerging Artist of the Year 2004 and her work was highlighted at the Eigse Carlow Arts Festival in 2005. She has exhibited Nationwide and her work is in many Public and Private Collections including the O.P.W, The Bank of Ireland, The Blackrock Clinic, The Flynn Hotel Group and in the private collection of Mary Coughlan amongst others.

Her formal concerns have always been rooted deeply in the tradition of landscape painting the specific locales from which she has drawn inspiration, the modes of addressing them have varied considerably over the years. Her long and very personal relationship with the West Coast of Ireland has resulted in this series of works. Through residencies at The Cill Rialaig Project in Co Kerry and time spent on the Connemara coast.
