My works here entitled 'Flux' look at the notion of finding order within chaos. The photographs are a result of two large scale paintings. For me these paintings were an analogy to contemporary society, how busy it is, hectic with the overloading of information that pervades our lives. I searched these paintings carefully through the use of a macro lens in an attempt to find a composition, a sense of order that I could relate to, make sense of so to say. The compositions that I found were enlarged and displayed alongside the paintings. By doing so I attempted to bring an awareness to the viewer, that it is easy to overlook what is right in front of you. The second lot of works address the memories of my childhood, these are currently works in progress.
