Paul McCourt Art (Download The Catalogue)

I am self taught artist from Belfast, Co Antrim. I prefer to work with Graphite pencils but have produced some paintings in acrylics. Most of my work is of dogs and cats and I am currently working on two equine commissions and have also produced some portraits of family and friends.

I really took to producing drawings full time in February 2013 not long after I was diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinsons Disease. I was encouraged to show my drawings by my now mentor Shauna McCann who is a Belfast based Ceramicist and works from her studio in Belfast's Conway Mill. I hope to continue with my art for as long as my condition will allow me, which hopefully will be for some time to come.
